With the highly anticipated release of Watch Dogs, Ubisoft has announced that it is now the best-selling new IP at launch in the video game industry. The game that came out not even a week ago, has already sold more than 4 million copies. This has made it the best-selling game within the first week for Ubisoft as well.

To compound to the strong start of Watch Dogs, is their app, aptly named ctOS Mobile – which has been downloaded and played by more than a million people. Ubisoft has stated that they feel, “with such strong sales momentum and positive feedback from gamers, Watch Dogs has positioned itself as the must-have game of the moment”. Without doubt, Ubisoft seems poised to make Watch Dogs a main-stay into their arsenal of IP’s.
