According to GeekWire it seems as though the studio behind Murdered: Soul Suspect, Airtight Games, has quietly closed it’s Redmond headquarters. This comes as a surprise seeing as how they recently debuted their new game just almost a month ago.
The GeekWire report states that while company executives haven’t responded to requests for the comments, the Redmond office is currently selling their office equipment and that there is a sign on the door announcing the office closing. One Reddit user gives some insight on rumors of why Airtight is closing.
Airtight laid off 14 employees earlier this year with Airtight studio president, Jim Deal, stating that the move was part of a “necessary restructuring.” Right now we’re not sure if the layoffs were a sign of troubling times at Airtight but it looks to be that way now.
The studio’s website remains online but doesn’t seem like it has been updated in a while. Murdered: Soul Suspect is still being billed as “Coming Soon.”
